Among the debts that must be paid from the estate before its distribution is the value of the maintenance (nafaqah (definition)) owed by the father, if it became obligatory upon him while he was affluent and he did not pay it, and someone else bore it without intending it as a donation. In this case, that person has the right to claim it after its establishment by evidence.
