Is it permissible to pray behind an Imam with whom there is contention and estrangement between him and the worshiper?

Especially since it is not permissible in Islamic law for a Muslim to abandon another Muslim for more than three nights, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three nights. They meet, and this one turns away, and that one turns away. The better of them is the one who initiates the greeting of peace." One should also abandon arguments that lead to abandonment and control one's anger. The legal dislike for an Imam is due to his wickedness or innovation, not due to worldly matters.
