What is the ruling regarding the prayer, fasting, and marital relations of a woman who experiences continuous bleeding after having performed ghusl from menstruation, and then discovers the bleeding again due to an ovarian cyst?
If bleeding continues for more than fifteen days, the woman becomes a mustahadah (experiencing irregular bleeding). She should refer to her usual cycle if she knows it. Otherwise, she should distinguish menstrual blood by its characteristics (color, smell, thickness, pain) and consider that as menstruation, and anything beyond that as istihadah (irregular bleeding). If she has no regular cycle or cannot distinguish, she should consider six or seven days as menstruation by estimation and perform ghusl (ritual bath) afterward. Then, she should perform wudu (ablution) for every prayer after its time has begun, while taking precautions (e.g., wearing a pad), and she may pray, fast, and has the rulings of a ritually pure woman.
