I want to declare sincere repentance before God, but I haven't been able to?
Feeling secure from Allah Almighty's cunning leads to loss and destruction on the Day of Judgment. The door to repentance remains open as long as death has not arrived, or the sun has not risen from the West, as Allah Almighty says: "So no one feels secure from the plan of Allah except the losing people" and His saying: "Indeed, repentance is due from Allah for those who do evil in ignorance and then repent soon after. It is those to whom Allah will turn in forgiveness, and Allah is ever Knowing and Wise. But repentance is not [accepted] of those who continue to do evil deeds until [the time] when death approaches one of them, and he says, 'Indeed, I have repented now,' nor of those who die while they are disbelievers. For those We have prepared a painful torment," and His saying: "The day some of the signs of your Lord come, no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say, 'Wait, indeed, we are waiting.'" Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah accepts the repentance of a servant as long as the death rattle has not reached his throat." Hasten to repent before it is too late.
