What is the interpretation of verse 50 of Surat Al-Ahzab?

The verses (50-52) from Surat Al-Ahzab clarify some rulings specific to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. His wives who had given their dowries were made lawful for him, as were female captives from spoils of war, and his paternal and maternal cousins who had emigrated. Also, the believing woman who offered herself to him without a dowry was made lawful for him, and this was exclusive to him. Verse (51) gives the Prophet a choice regarding spending the night among his wives, or accepting or not accepting the woman who offered herself to him, and that this choice is more conducive to their satisfaction. Verse (52) forbade him from taking any more women after his existing wives, or exchanging them for others, although the correct view is that it is abrogated. Allah distinguished His Prophet with different rulings concerning obligations, prohibitions, and permissions, making some matters obligatory upon him, prohibiting others, and making lawful for him things not made lawful for anyone else, which indicates that the entire matter belongs to Allah.
