Must I wear the hijab at the age of eleven, and is it permissible for me to be a media professional who appears on television?

An unpubertized girl—one who has not shown signs of puberty such as menstruation, or wet dreams, or the growth of coarse hair around the pubic area, or pregnancy, or reaching fifteen years of age—is not obligated to wear the hijab (definition). However, she should be accustomed to it so that it does not feel strange to her upon reaching puberty.
