What is the age at which a woman must observe hijab? Is it the age of discernment or puberty?

Allah Almighty says: "Or [to] children who have not yet attained awareness of the private aspects of women" (An-Nur/31). This means that a woman may display her adornment to a child who has not yet become aware of private parts and is not interested in women's affairs. If a child begins to describe women, compare them, or gaze at them for extended periods, then it is not permissible for a woman to uncover herself in front of him. Films, TV series, and social corruption play a role in accelerating children's awareness of women's private parts, which necessitates caution.
