Is it permissible for a psychiatrist to treat a patient with sexual deviancy by stimulating their natural inclination through the use of audio-visual stimuli, such as films that arouse their desire towards women, while also urging them to repent by entering into a legitimate marriage after being reassured of the likelihood of their success in that marriage?

It is not permissible for a doctor to treat homosexuality in this forbidden manner, for ends do not justify means, and such methods often yield counterproductive results. The cause of homosexuality is the enticement of Satan and the following of desires, and its cure lies in instilling fear of God's punishment in the man and urging him to sincere repentance. If homosexuality is a psychological illness, then its treatment should be through what God has permitted and what specialists in the field know, for there is no cure in what God has forbidden.
