Did the conditional divorce – contingent on paying 7000 Riyals and gaining custody of the child – take effect or not, and must both conditions be met for the divorce to occur?

The most preponderant view is that the divorce did not occur, due to the non-fulfillment of the condition upon which the husband made his wife's divorce contingent, namely her payment of seven thousand [currency units]. This is the opinion of many scholars. Some scholars hold that the divorce takes place as a revocable divorce in this case, and the wife is not obliged to pay anything.
