Is it permissible to write the Holy Quran using the modern spelling for the purpose of teaching and memorizing it to children?

The Qur'an is written in the Uthmani script, which was agreed upon by the Companions during the time of Uthman. Scholars have stipulated the obligation of observing this and the impermissibility of contravening the script of Uthman's Mushaf. However, if there is a need for teaching or referencing, and it is not feasible to adhere to the Uthmani script, there is no harm in writing some parts of the Qur'an in standard orthography to facilitate matters for people, especially since scholars have differed on the permissibility of writing it with a script other than the Arabic one.
