What is the ruling on one who circumambulated nine rounds instead of seven during Umrah, and is continuity (muwalat) obligatory between the rounds of Tawaf, and is there a comprehensive book on the rulings of Hajj and Umrah?

Consecutive circuits during the circumambulation (tawaf) are a condition for its validity. It is permissible to interrupt them for a valid excuse, such as the commencement of prayer; then one completes the circumambulation from where they stopped. However, if the interruption is prolonged without a valid excuse, the entire circumambulation must be repeated.
