What is the ruling on performing the Salat al-Hajah (Prayer of Need) with the intention of seeing Prophets in a dream, and is that considered a sin requiring repentance?

There appears to be no impediment to performing the Salat al-Hajah (Prayer of Need) with the aforementioned intention, and this is not considered a sin. What is prescribed for a Muslim who has sinned and wishes for repentance and forgiveness is to perform two rak'ahs of the Prayer of Repentance and then seek Allah's forgiveness.
