Commercial insurance, in all its forms, is forbidden. Likewise, it is impermissible to invest funds in its related stocks and bonds. As for global and internet marketing, its nature must be ascertained before a ruling can be made concerning it, while adhering to general guidelines such as: the impermissibility of buying gold, silver, and currencies on credit; the impermissibility of trading in forbidden goods; or buying shares of companies involved in forbidden activities or that deal with usury; or engaging in margin trading; or network/pyramid marketing based on gambling.
