When is it recommended for a latecomer, who missed one rakʿah, to begin his third rakʿah? Should he begin it simultaneously with the Imam's fourth rakʿah, or not? And when is it recommended for the Imam, the ma'mūm (follower), and the individual worshiper to begin the third rakʿah: after standing upright from rukūʿ (bowing), or upon starting to stand from the middle tashahhud?

The question is unclear, but if it is about raising the hands when standing up from the middle sitting position (after the first Tashahhud), some scholars have preferred that a latecomer who missed a rak'ah should raise his hands when standing up from the first Tashahhud. Raising the hands should be done after standing up from the Tashahhud, once the worshipper has fully stood upright, whether he is an Imam, praying alone, or a latecomer; he should not raise them while sitting. The positions for raising the hands are four: at the opening Takbir (Takbirat al-Ihram), when bowing (Ruku'), when rising from bowing, and when standing up from the first Tashahhud. The hands should be raised when one has fully stood upright.
