Will the woman who entered Hellfire because of a cat abide there eternally, even though she was not a polytheist?

A Muslim woman was tortured and entered Hellfire because she imprisoned a cat until it died. She neither fed it nor gave it water, nor did she leave it to eat from the vermin of the earth. This sin became grave due to her persistence in it. There is nothing in the hadith (definition) that indicates her eternal damnation in Hellfire. This does not contradict Allah's saying in Surat Al-Bayyinah, because the verse refers to disbelievers and polytheists, and their entry into Hellfire is eternal.
