Who was the trustee of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, over his wives, and the only one entrusted with entering upon them?

The Prophet's wives (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) were not entered upon by anyone other than their unmarriageable kin (mahārim), and the verse of the Hijab (curtain) clarified this. Some men who were "devoid of need" (ghayr uli al-irbah) used to enter upon them, but the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited the entry of those who described women. Books of سير (biographies) and تاريخ (history) do not mention that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) trusted any Companion with his family to enter upon all of them.
