Is disobeying a mother who commands shirk and going to sorcerers, or demands things that defy logic and religion, and curses her children and resorts to courts with slanders, considered disobedience that warrants punishment from Allah, and what should be done regarding her?

Filial piety is a great virtue, and its opposite, disobedience to parents (Uquq al-walidayn), is a grave sin. The mother takes precedence over the father in righteousness. Therefore, you must repent to Allah, apologize to your mother, and strive to please her. There is no sin upon you for not obeying her in a matter that involves disobedience to Allah. Her unacceptable behaviors do not negate her right to filial piety, and you must be patient with her.
