ما هو حكم التسمية باسم شمشون؟

Samson (Shamshun) is the name of a righteous man from the Children of Israel, known as the strong or mighty one. Al-Tha'labi mentioned his story in his tafsir, citing Wahb ibn Munabbih.

If it is clear that Samson was a righteous man, then there is no harm in naming someone after him, despite the name having no meaning in Arabic dictionaries.

Naming children after prophets, companions, and scholars is more preferable than using names whose meanings are unknown, especially if they belong to mythical figures.

Islam has given special attention and importance to names due to their influence on the named person. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, changed many names to better ones.
