What is the ruling on a son leaving work with his father?

Filial piety (birr al-walidain) is among the most emphasized duties and most beneficial to children. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, encouraged it by saying: "May his nose be rubbed in dust, may his nose be rubbed in dust, may his nose be rubbed in dust." It was said: "Whose, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "He who reaches his parents in old age, one or both of them, and does not enter Paradise."
