Are there any remaining graves of any prophets, taking into account what is heard about the shrines of prophets like Yunus and others?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The only grave whose location is agreed upon is that of our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. As for the graves of other prophets, the location of none of them is definitively known, except for the grave of Ibrahim al-Khalil (Abraham the Friend), peace be upon him (though there is a dispute concerning it). Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that the agreed-upon grave is that of our Prophet Muhammad, and that there is a dispute regarding the grave of al-Khalil, but the correct view is that it is indeed his grave. As for the graves of Yunus, Elias, Shu'aib, and Zakariya, their locations are unknown. Ibn al-Jazari stated that it is not correct to pinpoint the grave of any prophet other than our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Sheikh Ibn Baz affirmed that the graves of all prophets are unknown, with the exception of the grave of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the grave of al-Khalil Ibrahim, and that any claim of knowing the graves of others has no basis.
