What are the virtues of the Day of Arafah?

The Day of 'Arafah has many virtues, among them: the completion of the religion and the perfection of blessings. It is also a day of Eid for those present at 'Arafah. It is the day by which Allah swore in the Qur’an, and fasting on it expiates sins for two years for those who are not pilgrims. On this day, Allah took the covenant from the progeny of Adam. It is a day of forgiveness of sins, liberation from Hellfire, and Allah's boasting about the people of 'Arafah.
