Which day of the week is considered a period of sacred rest and worship?

The life of a Muslim is entirely an act of worship to Allah. Friday is a day that Allah has favored over all other days of the week, and many hadiths have been narrated regarding its virtues. Among them is that it is the best day on which the sun has risen, and on it Adam was created, admitted into Paradise, and expelled from it. It is also the day on which the verse, "This day I have perfected for you your religion," was revealed on the Day of Arafah.

Among the virtues of this day: Prayer therein until the next prayer atones for what is between them, as long as major sins are not committed. On this day, angels record the reward for those who hasten to prayer, and the early arriver is like one who sacrifices a camel, then a cow, then a ram, then a chicken, then an egg. It is one of the best days on which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded frequent prayers upon him, and he promised a great reward for whoever washed, performed ghusl, went early, walked, listened, and did not engage in idle talk. On it, there is an hour of response during which no Muslim servant asks Allah for anything except that He grants it, and it is hoped that this hour is after the Asr prayer until sunset.
