Is the work of an engineer who supervises buildings, including hotels that sell alcohol and do not adhere to Sharia regulations, unlawful, even though the company allows prayer at its designated time?

If the lodges remain true to their original purpose as places for rest and hospitality, then there is no harm in monitoring their operations. However, if they are designated for disobedience (sin), or if the majority of their patrons commit acts of disobedience within them, then it is not permissible to work for an establishment that provides services to them. This is because it constitutes cooperation in sin and aggression. Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
