For the acceptance of the fast of , its night prayers (), and all other righteous deeds, two conditions are required: Sincerity to Allah the Almighty, and that the act of worship be performed in accordance with the Shari'ah (Islamic law), without any increase or decrease. Therefore, whoever fasts and performs Qiyam in Ramadan seeking the countenance of Allah the Almighty, their acceptance is hoped for, based on His saying, "And whatever good they do, never will it be denied to them. And Allah is Knowing of the righteous" ( Al-Imran, 3:115), and His saying, "And never would Allah have caused your faith to be lost" (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:143), and His saying, "And whoever does righteous deeds, while being a believer, will not fear injustice or deprivation" (Surah Taha, 20:112).
