Is it permissible for a Muslim to be certain that Allah has ordained something specific for him in the Preserved Tablet, based on the Hadith Qudsi, "I am as My servant expects Me to be," and "Let him expect of Me what he wishes," as a form of adjuration by Allah concerning what He has revealed about Himself or what is known from the religion, while taking the means that lead to this certainty?

Good conjecture about God is commendable, and it is the confidence in the answering of prayers, the acceptance of deeds and repentance, forgiveness, and recompense upon performing acts of worship. Conjecture about God entails hoping for His mercy and pardon, and not despairing of His mercy. The answering of prayers is not limited to giving the supplicant what he asked for; rather, it can be by hastening the supplication, or saving it for the hereafter, or averting an equivalent evil. God may withhold what was requested due to a wisdom He knows, for He manages the affairs of His servants with His knowledge of what is in their hearts.
