What is the Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz), and what is written in it? Does that include religiosity or lack thereof? How will Allah hold His servants accountable for what was predetermined for them? And does supplication change anything of what is written in the Preserved Tablet, such as sustenance and procreation? And what is the meaning of wretched and felicitous?

The Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh al-Mahfuz) is a book in which Allah has recorded the destinies of all creatures until the Day of Judgment. Its true nature is known only to Allah. The misery and happiness written for a newborn are for the Hereafter, not for this world. A Muslim's Islam is not valid unless they believe in divine preordainment (Al-Qadar), both its good and its evil. This belief consists of two degrees: First, believing that Allah knows the actions of creation and has recorded them in the Preserved Tablet. Second, believing that whatever Allah wills comes into being, and whatever He does not will does not come into being, and that every movement and stillness occurs by His will, and He is the Creator of all things. Nevertheless, Allah has commanded His servants to obey Him and forbidden them from disobeying Him. They are truly the doers of their actions, which Allah has created, and they possess both ability and will.
