Islam encourages planting trees and anything beneficial, and warns against cutting down fruitful trees and causing corruption on earth. It is permissible to cut down trees for a benefit, to prevent harm, or due to a need. If uprooting a tree is not for corruption or wanton destruction, then there is no legal impediment to it.
