Is approximating bowing and prostrating to standing during prayer obligatory?

It is not obligatory to make the prostration (sujud) and bowing (ruku') close to the standing (qiyam) in prayer. Rather, this was reported in his (peace be upon him) night vigil (tahajjud) and is required in the eclipse prayer. What is obligatory is tranquility (ṭumaʾnīnah) in all pillars. The evidence for this is his (peace be upon him) saying to the one who prayed badly: "Then bow until you are tranquil in bowing, then rise until you are standing upright, then prostrate until you are tranquil in prostrating, then do that in all your prayer." He did not command him to make them close. The obligatory amount of standing is the duration of reciting Al-Fatiha, and for bowing and prostration, the minimum level of tranquility.
