Is it permissible to take dates from the garden of a well-off and stingy father without his knowledge, with the mother's permission, knowing that the dates will spoil if not taken?

It is not permissible to take anything from the father's property except with his permission and contentment, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The property of a Muslim man is not lawful for his brother except what he gives him out of his own good pleasure." Taking dates without the father's knowledge is not justified by their abundance or spoilage; rather, the correct approach is to guide the father to the best way to dispose of them.
