Is death a specific and precise term, and can one fall victim to an accident or smoke something that leads to their death before that term?

Indeed, death is finite; it neither precedes nor delays. No one can die before their appointed time. When a servant's term comes due, Allah causes them to die by what He has decreed for them, whether that is without apparent cause, or through an accident, or an illness, or any other reason.
