Is the noble Hadith: "Do not torture your children by pressing on the uvula (for tonsillitis); rather, you must use costus," authentic, and what is its explanation if it is authentic?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade treating throat inflammation in children (diphtheria/tonsillitis) with "ghamz," which involves inserting a finger or a harsh piece of cloth into the child's throat. Instead, he directed the use of Indian costus (Qust al-Hindi), a plant with numerous medicinal benefits. It is used by way of "sa'oot" (inhaling its powder after mixing it with oil) to treat diphtheria/tonsillitis and pleurisy.
