What is the ruling on downloading movies via computer programs, and will the non-Muslim owners of copyrighted materials take our good deeds on the Day of Judgment?

There is no harm in downloading movies and products if they are beneficial and permissible, and if copying them does not infringe upon the right of a Muslim, a covenant-holder, or a dhimmi. However, if they contradict the rulings of the Sharia or cause harm to Muslims, it is not permissible to download them, even if their producers grant permission, because that would be considered cooperation in sin.
