It is not permissible to copy copyrighted programs except with the permission of their owners, because copying them infringes upon their rights and wastes their efforts. If there is no text preventing download and use, then there is no objection, and the prevailing custom should be followed. The preponderant view with us is that it is not permissible to copy copyrighted discs or use them except with the permission of their owners. It is not permissible to work with programs known to be pirated or to cooperate with their owners.
