Is it permissible to give a sum of money less than the agreed-upon value of the vow, knowing that the needy person requested money instead of clothing?

If the money is better and more beneficial for the girl, there is no harm in giving it to her instead of clothes, and by doing so, the obligation is fulfilled. However, the exact amount of money that was vowed for buying clothes must be given. If the amount given is less, the remaining amount must be completed, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him." The money must be given to the girl or for her benefit, not to her mother.
