Why do ignorance and polytheism prevail in most countries of the world despite the abundance of preachers and scholars? Is that due to scholars changing the nature of their call, or their lack of sincerity in it, or their being influenced by factors of colonialism? And why have scholars not followed the path of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the predecessors of this Ummah?

Inviting to Allah is a great obligation. Allah the Almighty has forbidden the concealment of knowledge and commanded sincere advice and clear communication. Scholars are obligated to fulfill this duty, and the entire religion must be embraced while considering priorities. Gradualism is a fundamental principle in the methodology of Da‘wah (inviting to Islam). The first things to focus on are correcting beliefs, spreading the Sunnah, eliminating innovations (bid‘ah), and warning against shirk (polytheism). Politics is a part of religion and one of its means if it is based on Sharia. There is no contradiction between Da‘wah and politics.
