Is it permissible to refuse a gift if one does not need it, even if it is beneficial and aligns with the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Exchanging gifts and accepting them is a Prophetic Sunnah that removes animosity and increases familiarity and love. Rejecting a gift is disliked unless there is a valid impediment, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Exchange gifts, and you will love one another." It is sunnah for a Muslim to accept his brother's gift, even if he does not need it, in compliance with the Sunnah and out of consideration for the giver's feelings. However, accepting it is not obligatory.
