Is it permissible for a woman to seek divorce from her husband who gets angry and hates her for the flimsiest reasons, refuses discussion, is religious but neglects his home and family, shows her no affection or attention, and does not make her feel secure or happy, especially with her fear for the future of her children?

Praise Allah for your righteous and religious husband, and try to reach an understanding with him with gentleness and affection. Human perfection is not for anyone after the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and homes are not built on love alone.

If the problems persist, you may mention them to his family or to people of knowledge if you believe that will rectify the situation. Know that spending and serving outside the home are the husband's duties alone. If the continuation of your marriage causes you harm, you have the right to seek a divorce.
