Is repeating remembrances individually, or repeating "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah," or "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi Subhan Allah Al-Adheem," or "Subhan Allah, walhamdulillah, wa la ilaha illa Allah, wa Allahu Akbar" collectively, 180 times in the morning and in the evening, with the aim of increasing remembrance and not for specification, considered a bid'ah (innovation) or haram (forbidden)?

Remembrance (dhikr (definition)), glorification (tasbih), and seeking forgiveness (istighfar) are of two types: The first is that whose virtue is tied to a specific number, and thus it is necessary to achieve that number. The second is that which is mentioned in general terms, and therefore it is not prescribed to adhere to a specific number. The morning and evening remembrances that are recited a specific number of times have not been established in Islamic law with that specific number, so adhering to it is an innovation (bid'ah). However, reciting them sometimes with that number, or more, or less, is permissible.
