The Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, contain guidance for preserving human health and well-being. This includes the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Healing is in three: in a cupper's scarification, or a drink of honey, or cauterization by fire, but I forbid my nation from cauterization." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also guided to black seed and sea costus.

As for modern diseases, they were not known by their names in his time, peace and blessings be upon him, but he commanded treatment.

Regarding eating dates, they are beneficial every day, unless the person is afflicted with a disease that prevents them from doing so.

Among the books authored on Prophetic medicine is "Al-Tibb al-Nabawi" by Ibn al-Qayyim.
