It is permissible for a woman to visit her son in her ex-husband's house, provided that Islamic legal guidelines are observed. If her ' (waiting period) has expired, then he is a stranger to her, and thus, privacy with him is not permissible. However, if she is still within her 'iddah from a revocable divorce, she is considered in the legal status of a wife.
