Is it permissible for me to conceal my agreement with my fiancé to quit working after graduation, knowing that my family stipulates my employment during the marriage contract?

Conditions stipulated by the wife or her guardian for the husband, such as the wife working outside the home, are valid and binding conditions. However, if the wife waives her right to the condition, it is annulled, and her guardian has no right to prevent her from waiving it, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The conditions most worthy of fulfillment are those by which you make intimacy lawful." It is the wife's right to conceal her agreement with the suitor to stop working, and she is not obliged to inform her family of this. If the wife's family stipulates that the husband allows her to work, there is no sin upon her if she chooses not to work, and her family has no right to compel her to do so. It is advisable to strive to persuade the family to retract this condition to avoid future disputes.
