If the husband never prays at all, he is, according to the more preponderant opinion, a disbeliever (kafir). It is not permissible for the wife to remain with him, and she must separate from him. However, if he prays sometimes and misses prayers sometimes, he is not considered a disbeliever. In this case, the wife should be patient with his ill-manners, offer him advice, pray for him, and seek the help of those who can influence him. Divorce should not be resorted to as long as there is an alternative.
