Is the husband sinful if he divorces his irreligious wife, with the possibility of her deviance and the deviance of their children increasing, or is it better to be patient with her, or is divorce the ideal solution?

A wife who abandons prayer and leaves her husband's home without his permission is considered disobedient (nashiz) and has committed a grave error. The husband must deal with her by following the steps outlined in the Sharia. If these steps are not effective, then divorce is the solution. Some scholars even consider divorce obligatory if she insists on abandoning prayer. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned the obligation to command her to pray and to divorce her if she insists on abandoning it. As for the children, a lawsuit can be filed to revoke the mother's custody if there is fear of them being corrupted.
