The answer

"Aqeedah" (creed/doctrine) is the firm conviction in the heart regarding what Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him) have informed us, such as belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and divine decree (Qadar). It is sound if it conforms to the will of Allah and His Messenger, and corrupt if it contradicts it. The sources of sound Aqeedah are the books of the scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, such as "Sharh Usul I'tiqad Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah" by Al-Lalaka'i, and "Al-Sunnah" by Abdullah ibn Imam Ahmad. As for the sources of corrupt Aqeedah, they are what has been written by the innovators, such as the Rafidah and the Mu'tazilah, as well as what the Ash'aris contradicted regarding the creed of the Salaf.
