What are the consequences for a single woman from Mecca who omits the Sa'i of Hajj, and to whom should the Fidyah be distributed if it is due?

Sa'y is one of the pillars of Hajj, without which it is not complete. Whoever omits the Sa'y after Tawaf Al-Qudum remains in their state of ihram and has not completed the major disengagement (tahallul al-akbar). It is not permissible for her husband to have intercourse with her until she completes the Sa'y. If intercourse occurs out of ignorance, there is no sin upon either of them. However, it is more cautious for each of them to offer a fidyah (sacrifice a sheep, or feed six poor people, or fast for three days), and they must seek Allah's forgiveness and repent for their shortcomings.
