Can devils or jinn harm or possess humans, and do they know what is in their minds?

The possession of a human by a jinn is established, and the jinn may harm the human with blows or other means if the human harms them, such as by pouring hot water on them or killing one of the jinn. This harm only occurs by the permission and decree of Allah. As for the jinn knowing what is in a human's mind without it being uttered, this is from the Unseen, which only Allah knows. The jinn eavesdrop on divine revelation and then inform soothsayers and diviners, adding lies to it.
