Is it forbidden to remove birds' nests and clip their wings to prevent them from multiplying, after the female's attempts to trap the male and withhold food from him, and should they be released?

Clipping the feathers of a bird's wings and tail for its benefit is permissible and entails no sin. This is based on the hadith narrated by Anas in the Two Sahihs, where the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Abu Umayr: "O Abu Umayr, what did the little bird (Nughayr) do?" Ibn Hajar mentioned that one of the benefits derived from this hadith is the permissibility of keeping birds in cages and clipping their wings. It is not obligatory to provide a nest for birds, and there is no sin in preventing them from breeding, as scholars have permitted the castration of animals for a benefit. Therefore, clipping feathers is permissible a fortiori. However, one must be careful not to torment birds and animals without cause.
