As for the jurisprudential aspect, scholars have differed on the ruling concerning the preservation of sperm. The preponderant opinion among us is that it is absolutely forbidden to preserve it, and that any surplus should be discarded after fertilization. This is due to a lack of assurance regarding its safety in embryo banks and the potential consequences that may arise, such as the mixing of lineages or tampering with it.
Finally, we advise performing istikharah (a prayer seeking guidance) regarding the option that doctors guide you towards.
