What is the degree by which Allah has favored men over women, what is the meaning of the degree of qawamah (guardianship/maintainership), and what are the manifestations or areas of this degree?

The Almighty's saying: "And due to them is similar to what is due from them, according to what is reasonable. But men have a degree over them" means that men have a status that women do not; because men are responsible for financially supporting women, are among those fit for jihad and possessing strength, inherit more than women, and women are obligated to obey their commands. All aspects in which men are superior to women fall under this verse, such as imamate, leadership roles, the call to prayer (adhan), and testimony in hudud cases. The meaning of a man's guardianship (qawamah) over a woman is his responsibility for her discipline, management, protection, care, taking charge of her affairs, and rectifying her condition.
