Is it permissible to divide the inheritance during the father's lifetime to avoid problems among the children, and does the son who worked with his father and established the inheritance have the same share as his siblings in the inheritance?

A father's division of his property among his children during his lifetime is a gift (hiba), not an inheritance (tarikah), and it is permissible provided there is justice among them. The son who worked with his father inherits his legal share like all other heirs, unless he had agreed with his father on a wage, or if it was customary practice for him to be paid and he was not paid his wage until his father died. In such a case, the wage becomes a debt upon the estate, which he takes before the division of the inheritance, and then he takes his legal share. Naming oneself after the Qur'an or its surahs is prohibited.
